Our Programme Product Development team are currently recruiting for a new role in their team of Project Co-ordinator to join their busy team based in Hartlepool.
The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Product Development Project Manager during their day-to-day activities. The role requires cross functional liaison to maintain the timely flow of information between departments and customers.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Acquire in depth knowledge of projects being supported. Attend planning meetings and project review meetings, ensuring requirements and/or concerns are cascaded to the Product Development Project Manager and other relevant personnel.
- Provide day-to-day support for the Product Development Project Manager including attendance at internal and external meetings as required or requested.
- Prepare reports on an as needs basis, weekly/ monthly as well as providing information and documentation as required by the Product Development Project Manager.
- Liaise fully with all appropriate departments to ensure timely output of both information, product and documentation to satisfy requirements. Involvement in prioritisation process for project documentation in conjunction with other internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
- Facilitate the administration and production processes, where applicable, ensuring effective dovetailing between departments.
- Formulate good working relationships with customers, including support in packing reviews, to ensure that this matches the packing list.
- Take ownership of project / process problems and action accordingly in conjunction with the Product Development Project Manager. This will include reviewing production plans issued by Procurement and report any issues to avoid delays.
- Maintain systems, including visual – work order status reviews, purchase order status and updates, to ensure all materials are captured, confirm all parts are on order prior to FAT to avoid delays. Raise change requests to capture service cards and adding of materials to ensure accurate documentation.
- Logistical arrangements for internal and external shipments, also to facilitate the supply, receipt and packing and delivery of all accessories to ensure that all requirements are where they need to be in a timely manner.
The suitable candidate will be a strong administrator, who is organised and methodical in their approach. Analytical thinking combined with effective communication with the skills of influencing and negotiation are also required in the role of a Project Co-ordinator.
Ideally with experience working within a proceduralised environment you will be key to the day-to-day support for the Programme Product Development team. Self-motivated, with a commercial focus, you will be a strong team player, with experience of collaborative working and have a flexible approach with the ability to deal with conflicting demands on your time.
Must be very fluent with Microsoft word and excel packages and have good report writing skills. Confident at using other IT systems. It would be desirable if you have direct Project Management experience or a background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering within the Offshore O&G / Renewables industry.
