As JDR's exciting expansion into Cambois, Blyth continues to gain momentum, we are recruiting for two Maintenance Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the startup of a new plant. The Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair equipment within designated areas to ensure that production priorities are met, and equipment performs to its optimum capacity. Equipment includes rotating equipment, stranders, extrusion lines, armourers, and carousels.
We are keen to speak with Electrical, Mechanical, and Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the main responsibilities of the role include:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be time served in a multiskilled discipline and/or qualified to ONC, A Levels, City & Guilds level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3, IVQ Technician Diploma or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification. A practical approach to problem solving and substantial experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is also required to be successful in this role along with a commercial understanding of the impact of failure/downtime on production and ultimately customer delivery. The successful candidate will also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and hold an understanding of lean manufacturing including the 5S process. In addition, the candidate will be able to work under minimum supervision with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
