Job Description

JDR Cable Systems are currently recruiting for a newly created role of Analysis Manager. The post holder will be responsible for the management and technical competence of the analysis team ensuring the profitable and on time delivery of analysis required to meet both tendering and project requirements.

The role includes the supervision of technical content and management of analysis resources (internal and external) for tendering and projects analysis activities, with additional support and assistance to the Technology department as necessary to achieve business objectives.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • To manage the analysis team and all associated project and tendering analysis to meet customer requirements and ensure compliance with national and international standards.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with Project Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure on-time submission and approval of documents.
  • Conduct staff performance appraisals, create training plans, and manage resources to meet business demands effectively.
  • Manage the workflow in the analysis team using resources within the team, from other teams and external sources.
  • Oversee capacity management and resource allocation tools, ensuring progress is monitored and delivery schedules are met.
  • Enhance JDR’s reputation in technical excellence in line with the Technology roadmap, via external engagement to ensure JDR’s technical credibility and drive improvements in technical competency throughout the business.
  • Capture lessons learned and integrate them into standard practices to enhance future performance.
  • Standardise analysis processes, documentation, and calculations to enable automation and cost reductions where possible.
  • Accountability for ensuring the generation and maintaining of Analysis Design Rules and Manuals.

Job Requirements

To be successful in the role:

Essential

  • Proven experience in engineering, design, and analysis for the delivery of Oil & Gas and/or Renewable Energy equipment, including evidence of technical competence, delivery achievement and professional conduct.
  • Proven Project Management and Team Management skills, together with excellent communication skills and the experience to provide credibility to customers and other stakeholders.
  • Degree qualified in an engineering subject or relevant experience gained in an engineering field.
  • Highly competent at report writing in English and proficient in the use of Microsoft software packages

Desirable

  • Chartered Engineer status with proven success in a similar role and/or have relevant demonstrable experience and skills.
  • Experience of using finite element analysis software, with experience of at least one of: Orcaflex; Comsol, Abaqus or Ansys; StableLines / PILS, Helica / UFlex
